en <div style=text-align: justify;><span style=font-size:11pt><span style=line-height:normal><span style=font-family:Calibri,sans-serif><b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif><span style=color:#4472c4>Aims:</span></span></span></b><b> </b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif>This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of diabetes self-management education (DSME) at the Banjarmasin Health Center in reducing the prevalence of non-ulcer diabetic foot.</span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style=font-size:11pt><span style=line-height:normal><span style=font-family:Calibri,sans-serif><b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif><span style=color:#4472c4>Materials & Methods: </span></span></span></b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif>This research utilized an experimental design with a nonequivalent control group and employed consecutive sampling. A sample of 230 participants was divided into two groups: 115 respondents in the intervention group and 115 respondents in the control group.</span></span> <span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif>The instrument utilized in this research was the Diabetes Self-Care Activities Foot Care Questionnaire. Statistical analyses included the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Mann-Whitney Test. </span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style=font-size:11pt><span style=line-height:normal><span style=font-family:Calibri,sans-serif><b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif><span style=color:#4472c4>Findings:</span></span></span></b> <span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif>The mean incidence of non-ulcer diabetic foot in the intervention group differed from that of the control group both before and after the intervention by 0.009 (p-value=0.069). Further analysis revealed a significant difference (p-value=0.003) in the mean incidence of non-ulcerated diabetic foot following DSME between the intervention and control groups. </span></span></span></span></span><br> <span style=font-size:11pt><span style=line-height:normal><span style=font-family:Calibri,sans-serif><b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif><span style=color:#4472c4>Conclusion: </span></span></span></b><span style=font-size:10.0pt><span style=font-family:Cambria,serif>DSME effectively reduces the incidence of non-ulcerated diabetic foot at the Banjarmasin Community Health Center.</span></span></span></span></span></div> Diabetes Mellitus,Ulcer,Education, 53 58 http://hehp.modares.ac.ir/browse.php?a_code=A-10-78676-4&slc_lang=en&sid=4 C.K.
